Aggie's Bean Casserole
- 8 slices bacon
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1⁄2 cup vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 16-ounce cans butter beans
- 1 16-ounce can green beans
- 1 16-ounce can lima beans
- 1 16-ounce can kidney beans
- 1 16-ounce can pork and beans
Instructions: Fry bacon in skillet until crisp; drain and crumble bacon, reserving drippings in skillet. Add onion. Saute onion until tender. Add brown sugar, dry mustard, garlic powder, vinegar and salt. Cook for 20 minutes. Drain beans (I usually only drain 1/2 of the liquid in the pork and beans). Combine with brown sugar mixture and bacon in large bowl; mix well. Spoon into a 10x15 baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
