Cheese Wafers with Rice Krispies

Ingredients:
  • 1 lb. sharp cheese
  • 2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies
  • Dash of red pepper (or to taste)
  • ½ tsp. salt

Instructions:

Cream butter and cheese together. Add flour, pepper and salt. Stir in Rice Krispies. Roll into 3 or 4 rolls; wrap in plastic wrap. Place in refrigerator overnight.

When ready to bake, slice rather thin.  Bake on ungreased baking sheet for 25 minutes at 325 degrees.

Notes:
You can freeze the unbaked rolls and bake fresh wafers anytime. This is a family favorite at Christmas.
