Ingredients:
  • Sirloin tip roast
  • Pkg. onion soup mix
  • ½ bottle liquid smoke (optional)
  • ½ bottle worcestershire sauce
  • 2 14 oz. bottles ketchup
  • ¾ ketchup bottle of water or beef stock from the roast pan
  • 13 cup vinegar
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice
  • dash red pepper
  • dash tabasco
  • dash paprika
  • 3 tbsp. liquid smoke (optional)
  • 2 tsp. dry mustard
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • dash of cumin

Instructions:

Wrap the roast in heavy foil and roast for around 3 hrs. in a slow oven 300 to 325 degrees.  Before you seal the foil, cover the roast with soup mix, liquid smoke, and Worcestershire sauce.  Cool the roast and slice very thin.  

Make the sauce from the remaining ingredients and simmer about 30 minutes, pour over the sliced roast.
