Chocolate Fudge Cake
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 heaping cup self-rising flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 lg. can chocolate syrup (16 oz)
- 1 stick butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 sm. Can evaporated milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 sm. Pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips (6 oz)
Instructions: Cream together the butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each one. Add vanilla. Alternate chocolate syrup and flour. Grease and flour two cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes. Cook the butter, sugar and milk together and boil for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and add vanilla and the chocolate chips. Stir until the morsels melt and beat until spreading consistency.
