Corn Chowder
Ingredients:
- 3 to 4 potatoes (peeled and diced)
- 3 cups water
- 4 or 5 pieces bacon, fried
- 1 cup onions, chopped
- 2 (14 oz.) cans cream-style corn
- 2 cups milk
- 1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
- 1 to 2 cups chicken broth
- salt and nutmeg to taste
Instructions: Boil potatoes in water until tender, do not drain. Cook bacon until crispy and reserve. Saute' the onion in the bacon fat until soft. Combine all the other ingredients and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes. Add the crumbled bacon when ready to serve.
