German Sugar Cookies
- 1 cup butter
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 2 ½ cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Instructions: Cream first 3 ingredients. Add vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together and stir into the creamed mixture. Roll in 1 inch balls and dip in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees on ungreased cookie sheet for 12 to 15 minutes.
Notes:
This is a good cookie to roll in colored sugar at Christmas or anytime the children want something special.
