Harvard Beets

    Ingredients:
    • 1 can beets
    • 14 cup sugar
    • 14 cup vinegar
    • 14 cup beet juice
    • 1 rounded tsp. cornstarch
    • 1 Tbsp. butter
    • salt and pepper

    Instructions:

    Mix the sugar, water, vinegar and corn starch and simmer 2 or three minutes.  Add drained beets and butter, salt and pepper.  Simmer about 10 to 15 minutes.
