Heavenly Brownies
- 2 sticks margarine
- 8 T. (1⁄2 cup) cocoa
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 T. vanilla
- 1 ½ cups self-rising flour (1 cup plain flour and 1 tsp baking powder and ¼ tsp. salt)
Instructions: Melt margarine, add cocoa and sugar and mix well. Add eggs and flavoring. Bake in a greased and floured 9x13 pan for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
Notes:
I sometimes substitute the self-rising flour with 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1 tsp. baking powder and 1/4 tsp. salt. This recipe was often requested by my children's teachers when there was a party in their rooms during grade school.
