Pear Honey

Ingredients:
  • 8 or 9 large pears
  • 1 small can crushed pineapple (undrained)
  • 4 c. sugar
  • pinch salt

Instructions:

 Peel and core pears and chop in a food processor. Combine pears with sugar and pineapple and cook for about 20 to 30 minutes or until thick and pears are clear. Pour into hot jars and seal.

Notes:
This is a good recipe for those large local pears.
