Praline Squares
- 3⁄4 c. flour
- 1⁄2 c. oatmeal
- 1⁄2 c. confectioner's sugar
- 1⁄3 c. soft butter
- 1⁄3 c. butter
- 3⁄4 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 3⁄4 c. chopped pecans
Instructions: Blend the flour, oatmeal, confectioner's sugar and soft butter together and press into a lightly greased 9-inch square pan. For the topping: Melt the butter over medium heat and sitr in the brown sugar and cinnamon and continue to heat until the mixture comes to a boil. Remove very quickly and stir in pecans. Spread quickly over the unbaked crust. Bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes. Let stand for 30 minutes and then cut into squares.
Notes:
Double the recipe and cook in jelly roll size pan.
