Toasted Pecans
- 1 qt. pecans
- 1⁄3 cup salt
- water
Instructions:
Dissolve the salt in a cup of water. Put the pecans in a large mixing bowl and pour the salt water over the pecans. Finish covering the pecans with water and let sit for 30 minutes. Drain the nuts and let sit on paper towels for 2 hours. Bake at 250 degrees for one hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
Notes:
This recipe for toasted pecans is healthier than some because you are not adding butter.
